Natural Burial Presentation 30 March 2026
This is the second of two Natural Burial Community Q&A Events hosted by Brittany Rose, in Kingaroy, QLD. The purpose of the events was to gain feedback from the South Burnett Regional Council and Community as to their interest in natural burials and establishing a natural burial site in the South Burnett. The first part of the session is Brittany giving a presentation on what natural burial is and how it differs from current standard practices. Dr. Sandra Tuszynska also presents on soil and microbiology in the context of decomposing human remains. The second part of the session is a Q&A with panel members Jason Talbot-Scobie, funeral director and manager of Virgo Funerals, Dr. Sandra Tuszynska ecologist and soil microbiologist and Rob Moore, Cemeteries co-ordinator for Fraser Coast Regional Council.

Regenerative Burial for Soil and Soul
Dr. Sandra Tuszynska (soil ecologist) and Brittany Rose (funeral director and medium) discuss the problems with current burial methods and cremation, the benefits of human body composting, and the reality and need for education about what happens to us after we leave the physical body. The conversation is based upon their desire to create a human composting facility and a burial site which supports in-ground body decomposition, designed to regenerate and reforest damaged land, as well as to provide education about spirit life through mediumship and communication with those who have passed.
